Michele Bachmann Runs From the Truth

In the "Keeping Them Honest" segment of his CNN show, Anderson Cooper shines a spotlight on people in the media who have issues presenting factual statements. In a segment this week, he called out Rep. Michele Bachmann for comments she made about spending in the Obama administration in her speech at the recent CPAC. Rep. Michele Bachmann's retreat from Dana Bash's questions is one of the funniest I've seen in awhile. Although funny on the surface, it does point out a serious problem... Bachmann's detachment from the facts and how she reacts when confronted with tough questions. I think Dana may want to invest in some Nikes for any future encounters she has with Rep. Bachmann.

You seem to be calling this pretty good, Malcolm. And I saw Michele called on this stuff on center/center-right blog before I came here.

(Though I do happen to agree with Bachmann on her criticizing the 100% waste that is Obama's $11 billion dollar Congressional/etc pay raise, which is a welfare check for the well off and wealthy)/

Since when has something as irrelevant as the truth ever stopped Michele Marie Bachmann from running her blathering piehole?!?

She wouldn't know the truth if she stepped in it.

That's what Minnesota gets for electing that batshit crazy wench to Congress.

dmarks: It's time Michele has to answer for the outlandish things she says.

Question Man: Living in the conservative bubble has been one of the downfalls of the right (racist and non-racist). People like Michele Bachmann have learned it's good business to make outrageous statements against the president. They can raise campaign money, boost their ratings, increase book sales, etc. Although this strategy is good business, it's bad politics.

Reggie: Thanks for stopping by. I can't believe this woman keeps getting elected. The results of her 2012 election were extremely close so maybe many in MN are getting tired of her antics.
