There's an innocence that comes with ignorance, but not all ignorance is innocent.

People not being taught things are wrong will rarely draw the conclusion that they are. And that's undoubtedly the only difference.

Imagine someone never knowing that you can't just walk into a store and take a candy bar if you want one. They're there. You're hungry. Viola.

If America's youth are getting along better, that's also attributable to their parents in some fashion. And that was hard-fought, I'm sure.

Thankfully, acceptance is also a plague. So I think our future definitely looks bright.

Thanks to Malcolm for posting this. I do believe we'll reach the point when we can just say "dating" universally. But our labels are stuck pretty good for the time being.Joshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03970377995219031351noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1694026809022095167.post-63107695004678078022011-08-08T21:21:47.017-04:002011-08-08T21:21:47.017-04:00I've dated a few girls of a different race. The looks I would get if I was in public with a Korean girl was something I will never forget.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1694026809022095167.post-88672915773604041772011-08-08T08:10:41.922-04:002011-08-08T08:10:41.922-04:00Thanks again Josh for contacting me and contributi...Thanks again Josh for contacting me and contributing this post. In answer to your questions about interracial dating (Would you? Have you? Will you?), it's yes on all counts. We've definitely come a long way from "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?" and that's a great thing.

As for online dating, one thing which I think is great is seeing ads for Yahoo Personals and Match.com that featured interracial couples even though the sites aren't specifically for interracial dating.

Regarding the minority who have a problem with interracial dating, the only thing I can think of that might sway them is if they saw a friend or relative involved in a healthy, loving interracial relationship. However, there will always be some who will never accept it.Malcolmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02065814455731328574noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1694026809022095167.post-30754956114703892572011-08-08T07:19:42.924-04:002011-08-08T07:19:42.924-04:00By Rich (via Facebook): I hadn't even realized...By Rich (via Facebook): I hadn't even realized interracial dating was an issue anymore.
